Article Processing Charges

The APC is applied only in the event that the article is accepted, once the peer review process has been completed.
With the aim of recognizing and valuing the academic work of those who contribute to the peer review process, Estudios Gerenciales offers a 50% discount on the APC to authors who have served as reviewers for the journal. This benefit is valid for one (1) year from the completion of the review and is neither cumulative nor transferable.
Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
Estudios Gerenciales recognizes the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, particularly generative AI, to support processes related to research and academic writing. However, their use must be responsible, ethical, and transparent.
The use of generative AI tools is allowed for specific purposes, such as improving writing, translation, idea organization, and style editing. Nevertheless, these tools must not replace fundamental human competencies in the scientific process, such as analysis, critical reasoning, interpretation of results, and the formulation of conclusions or recommendations.
Authors must explicitly declare whether AI tools were used at any stage of the manuscript development, specifying the purpose and scope of such use. This statement must be included at the end of the document in a section titled “Statement on the Use of AI.”
Below is an example of how this statement may be formulated:
The authors declare that they used generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools solely as support in the manuscript writing process. Platforms such as (e.g., ChatGPT) were used for writing suggestions, idea organization, and style editing. All content was subsequently reviewed, validated, and edited by the authors, who assume full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and validity of the work presented.
Aditional Policies
During the style review process, the journal reserves the right to make minor adjustments to article titles, edits to the text, translations, and abstracts. However, the general policy is to consult the authors regarding such changes.
Additionally, Estudios Gerenciales uses specialized software to detect non-original content in manuscripts. By submitting a manuscript to the journal, the author agrees to any originality checks that may be required during the peer review and production processes.
