The study aimed to identify risk factors in a subset of entrepreneurships benefiting from Colombia's main public policy instrument supporting entrepreneurship. A multiple-case study approach was adopted, with eight entrepreneurships as units of analysis. Drawing on a questionnaire to prioritize 55 previously identified risk factors, expert-validated semi-structured interviews, and cross-case comparative analysis, 19 risk factors were identified and classified according to their impact on the program’s loan forgiveness indicators. The research contributes to the study of risk factors in public entrepreneurship support programs and serves as a tool for entrepreneurs and decision-makers involved in these programs.
